Haas F1 team has confirmed it has signed the German driver Nico Hülkenberg to drive alongside Kevin Magnussen in 2023.
5 year old Nico is a very experienced driver having 181 formula 1 race starts and driver for multiple Formula 1 teams. He started his F1 career in 2010 at Williams where he was teammate of experienced driver Rubens Barichello. In his debut year he scored 22 points and a suprizing pole position at the Brazil Grandprix.
After that he moved to Force India as test driver before joining as race driver during 2012-2016 seasons after which he moved to Renault F1 team (2016-2019). Since the end of 2019 he did not have a full season race seat and was reserve driver for Racingpoint/Aston Martin.
In his career until now he scored a total of 521 points, his best placed finish position is 4th.

Nico is very happy to be able to drive a full season again and thanks Gene Haas and Gunter Steiner for this opportunity. On his personal twitter account he announced “There is work to do and I cannot wait to join the competition again!”.
