BREAKING: American Ford motor company – joins formula 1 with a Red bull partnership!

American motor company Ford announced plans to return back to Formula 1 starting from the 2026 season.

Today, during the Red bull F1 2023 car launch, Redbull F1 and Ford motor company announced a technical partnership starting from the 2026 Formula one season. Ford will power both the Red bull as well as the Alpha Tauri F1 team.

Jim Farley, President and CEO, Ford Motor Company, stated: “Ford’s return to Formula 1 with Red Bull Racing is all about where we are going as a company – increasingly electric, software-defined, modern vehicles and experiences.

“F1 will be an incredibly cost-effective platform to innovate, share ideas and technologies, and engage with tens of millions of new customers.”

Ford has already a rich history in formula one, they are the third most successful engine manufacturer winning a total of 10 constructors Championships and 13 drivers championships.

With this partnership with Red bull, the winner of both last season constructors championship as well as driver championship, they show their intentions that ’their in it, to win it’

Bill Ford, the Executive Chairman of Ford Motor Company, stated: “This is the start of a thrilling new chapter in Ford’s motorsports story that began when my great-grandfather [Henry Ford] won a race that helped launch our company.

Ford’s announcement follows just a month after the announcement of Andretti-Cadillac intentions to start a new F1 team and is a direct result of the increasing popularity of Formula one in the United states.

Together with the current Haas F1 team and American driver Logan Sargeant making his debut this year we feel there are very interesting times ahead for American F1 fans!
